Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Determine job requirements
   • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
2. Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
3. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
4. Identify job requirements from specifications, job sheets or work instructions
5. Apply principles of quality assurance
   • Apply quality assurance standards to enterprise specifications
6. Perform quality testing to industry standards and SOPs, as required
7. Apply research or quality data to production process
   • Undertake liaison with in-house/external control laboratories
8. Interpret data and recommend process changes
9. Implement process changes in accordance with procedures
10. Use laboratory/research data to determine and make changes/corrections to processes
